Former Governor of Imo State and representative of Imo West Senatorial District Rochas Okorocha, has lamented the increasing level of anger among citizens due to hardship and insecurity in the country.

Okorocha stated this in Lafia, Nasarawa State yesterday when he paid a condolence visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule and family members of the late former Chairman of the state All Progressives Congress (APC), Philip Shekwo, who was assassinated at his resident last week.

He urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the security chiefs who were not living up to expectation in securing lives and property of Nigerians.

“The country is going through a very difficult moment. Nigerians are angry with their political leaders, because there is so much hunger, killings, hardship and insecurity in the land,” he stated.

Okorocah, however, appealed to Nigerians to exercise more patience and take the present hardship as a part to greatness like other developed countries of the world, stressing that everything should be done to ensure that the country remained united.

Responding, Governor Sule commended Okorocha for making out time to sympathise with the people of the state and families of the late Shekwo. Sule described the Shekwo as a gentle man who could not hurt and ant and vowed that he would not relent at ensuring that the state remained safe for investors.
