Fire Razes Popular Ibadan Market, Destroys Shops, Valuables

An inferno has destroyed several shops and properties at a popular market in Ibadan.

The fire was said to have started at about 11:00 pm on Friday night at Araromi market where tires, engine and cars materials were destroyed.

The cause of the inferno has yet to be ascertained.

Also affected is the mosque located at the market.

In another news, Kano state government has said 20 people have lost their lives, while properties worth N39million destroyed in a fire outbreak that occurred within the state in the month of March 2021.

However, added that the State Fire Service under the period in review has rescued 122 lives from fire incident in the state.
