The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has declared Oniwinde Adedotun, founder of AbokiFX, wanted.
AbokiFX is a website that publishes the parallel market exchange rate of the naira against other currencies.
While responding to questions after the Monetary Policy Committee meeting, MPC, on Friday, September 17, 2021, Emefiele referred to Mr. Oniwinde Adedotun as an illegal FX dealer who will be prosecuted for endangering the Nigerian economy.
According to Emefiele: ”Mr Oniwinde started the AbokiFX operation in 2015 and has since milked the economy by manipulating the exchange rate.”

The CBN governor added that feelers from social media suggested that the owner of AbokiFx is gathering support from people.

Emefiele then stressed that he is ready and awaiting the arrival of the Oniwinde and his supporters at CBN, saying they should ”Come out let’s fight”.
