Lagos—Ibadan expressway has been shutdown after a petrol-laden tanker fell and exploded, Afriupdate reports.
The tanker is currently burning on the Long Bridge section of the road.
According to an eyewitness, the tanker tumbled over, fell on its side and burst into flames.
Smoke from the burning tanker could be seen far away.

Many road users are said to be stranded as a result of the explosion.

Motorists travelling inward Ibadan have been cut off from the Long Bridge as a result of the explosion as many are scambling to drive against traffic.
