Biafra: You Cannot Restructure A Dying Country, Says Nnamdi Kanu’s Principal Sec.

The Principal Secretary to Biafra political activist Nnamdi Kanu, Carolyn Uchenna Okorafor has posited that Nigeria is ‘fast deteriorating’, and that “there is no such thing as restructuring a dying country!”.

Afriupdate reports that Okorafor gave this submission on her known Twitter handle last Saturday.

While some prominent individuals are calling for the restructuring of Nigeria, saying the country needs a home-grown constitution that would usher in a regional arrangement, the legal practitioner does not align with the restructuring talks.

“Even without the efforts of IPOB, the facts show just this year alone how quickly Nigeria is deteriorating! This is simply the truth of the matter! There is no such thing as restructuring a dying country! People will argue otherwise, but the FACTS speak for themselves.#EndNigeria”

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the controversial group Okorafor throws weight behind, has its main aim to restore an independent state of Biafra in the former Eastern Region of Nigeria through an independence referendum.

The referendum is to “ascertain the number of those who want Nigeria politics and those who want Biafra freedom through a peaceful and democratic process for the sovereignty of our dear nation Biafra,” IPOB spokesman, Emma Powerful said in a January 2019 statement.

“IPOB will liberate Biafra and we will not take part in any election until we get a referendum, and this is not negotiable. We will achieve this by every necessary means.” Kanu had one time said in a broadcast.
