Kanunta Kanu, younger brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), on Monday claimed that Nigerians would soon appreciate the outlawed group.
According to Kanu, the separatist organization “saved” Nigerians ‘at the hands of people from the foothills of the #FutaJallon.’
“One day, #Nigerians will come to appreciate the fact that it was #IPOB that saved all of them at the hands of these people from the foothills of the #FutaJallon.”
Without apologies #ESN, has forever come to stay, and we do not owe #Fulanis any explanation on it.”
#FreeBiafra,” Kanu wrote on his known Twitter handle.

In a related news, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba has called on police operatives in Delta state to step up the fight against “criminal activities” of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
This call was made on Monday by the IGP during his familarisation visit to the Delta police command.
Alkali urged the officers to ensure commitment to their duties.
“In fighting crime, you may be trying your best, but your best is not good enough because anything that happens in Anambra will affect Delta, especially Asaba,” Baba said.
