Senate Chief Whip Orji Uzor Kalu has been called out by the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) for boasting that he can bring back the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to Nigeria.

Afriupdate had reported earlier that Uzor Kalu pleaded with President Muhammadu Buhari to allow him to convince Kanu to stop his Biafra agitation.

Reacting to the Kalu’s plea, the National Leader of BNYL, Princewill Chimezie Richard, in a statement released on Wednesday said some Igbo politicians are opportunists using the name of Biafra to seek relevance in Nigeria politics

“What Orji Kalu is saying is rhetoric, as an Igbo man he knows deep down his heart that Biafra is a spirit, kill any of us the struggle continues,” he said
