COVID Transparency and Accountability Project (CTAP) has lamented that Bauchi State Government was not ready to reveal spending on Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19).
CTAP is a programme under Connected Development (CODE), which has begun tracking COVID-19 funds allotted to state governments in Nigeria.
CODE’s Bauchi Team Lead, Jacklin Ojeyokan, who presented the organisation’s report to the state government in Misau Local Council, yesterday, said it discovered that most of the primary healthcare centres did not have storage facility for the COVID-19 vaccine, while others did not have qualified personnel to administer the jab.
While handing over the report to the Executive Chairman of the State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr. Rilwanu Mohammed, the team lead said that the study was done in Bauchi, Darazo, Misau and Katagum local councils.
The Director, PHC in Misau, Jibril Inuwa, represented the executive chairman.
