Senate President Ahmad Lawan is currently in a closed-door meeting with the principal officers of the red chamber and the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The meeting is geared towards finding a solution to the ongoing ASUU strike and also to discuss the alternative designed by ASUU to the Integrated Personnel Payroll System (IPPIS) by the Federal Government for the payment of civil servants’ salaries.

The ASUU team was led by its President, Biodun Ogunyemi.
