Mrs. Christianah Aweke Adekunle, who was diagnosed with CD 20 positive lymphocytic lymphoma, needs N5.2 million for chemotherapy and supportive treatment.
According to the Head of Department, Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Oyelese A.T. : “The treatment of this haematological malignancy would require a three-weekly administration of chemotherapy, which would last for eight months. The cost of each cycle of chemotherapy and supportive treatment is about N650,000…”
Her husband, Olasunkanmi Adekunle, who spoke to The Guardian, pleaded with kind-hearted Nigerians, corporate organisations and non-governmental organisation to assist his wife and the family.
