The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacted to the recent killing of 43 farmers in Zambari local government area of Borno State by Boko Haram insurgents.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident in a tweet, the spokesperson of PDP, Kola Ologbodiyan said that the development was another confirmation that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All progressives Congress (APC) administration had failed to secure the nation.
Condemning the attack, PDP while mourning the farmers that were murdered by suspect Boko Haram insurgents asked Buhari to stop unhelpful rhetorics. Buhari was also advised to take actions that will help safeguard the lives and properties of Nigerians.
“@OfficialPDPNig condemns in strongest terms the gruesome beheading of 43 innocent farmers by Insurgents in Borno state. Indeed, this is one of the recurring ugly testaments of the failure of @Mbuhari and @OfficialAPCNig to secure our nation.
“Our party mourns these compatriots even as we console their families at this time of grief. @OfficialPDPNig calls on @Mbuhari to stop his unhelpful rhetorics by taking actions that will safeguard the lives and property of our compatriots,” Ologbodiyan tweeted.
