• Awards $319m contract for new consulate building in Lagos

The Public Affairs Officer (PRO) of the United States (U.S.) Consulate, Stephen Ibeli, yesterday, urged students to read books to improve their knowledge and capacity.

Ibeli gave the advice during his official visit and donation of books worth $24,000 to Kola Daisi University, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The Consulate PRO, who charged the students of the university to make proper use of the books, said: “We are happy to be here. We looked for the way to help. One of the ways to do that is working with the university to identify a need and that need is provision of books. As we love to invest in people, education, development and the future, we felt that provision of books is the best approach in which to partner with university.”
