Nigeria, on Friday, recorded its highest daily COVID-19 infection figure since the beginning of the outbreak in late February 2020, Afriupdate reports.
According to the Health Agency, Nigeria recorded 1,867 new cases on Friday, smashing previous highest daily record of 1,398 reported on Wednesday January 13.
Till date, 107, 345 cases have been confirmed, 84, 535 cases have been discharged and 1,413 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Our discharges today include 277 community recoveries in Lagos State, 150 in Kaduna State and 78 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
