Mazi Uche Mefor has reportedly dumped the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Afriupdate reports that Uche Mefor, before his resignation, was the deputy leader of IPOB and a right-hand man of Nnamdi Kanu.

His resignation was disclosed in a tweet on the micro-blogging site Twitter by Emeka Gift, a top IPOB member, and pro-Biafra activist.

Emeka tweeted, “Breaking: Mazi Uche Mefor resigns as deputy leader of Indigenous people of Biafra, floats new radio station “Biafra Human Rights and Freedom Radio” (BHFR) More details soon,”

This online news medium learnt that the development is coming months after Kanu had said Mefor cautioned him on his claim that President Muhammadu Buhari was dead and had since been replaced by Jubril Al-Sudanni from Sudan.

“I keep saying this every time, my deputy, Uche Mefor, will say don’t say it, don’t say that Buhari is dead“, Kanu had said during one of his broadcasts on Radio Biafra in February.

Mefor, apart from this, had called for a change of approach and attitude among IPOB members but his appeals were met with verbal assaults from members of his group.

The estranged IPOB deputy leader is said to be having a feud with Nnamdi Kanu which culminated in a very serious war of words between the duo IPOB leaders.

Recall that Amaka Ekwo also announced that she is no longer the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB’s) New Media and Special Duties Coordinator and Press Secretary to Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader. Read in detail here.

Why are we this fast in judgments and conclusions?
Why don't we sit back a little more for more details to come in.@Amaka_Ekwo also resigned. We should wait for our leader @MaziNnamdiKanu to brief us on this developments.
To me this's a strategy to widen the coast of….

Guys he resigned. To take over another role. Not quitting the struggle. Now he has a minor role to play. Plz let’s not think just the negative at all time.

— sommy (@val_chisom) November 22, 2020

Possible but it could send the wrong message to the rest of the world who are beginning to buy into our plight; that we are not gelled. Clarification is critical at this point, don't you agree?

— BN Wolfman (@BnWolfman) November 22, 2020

This is shocking, what was the problem….a lot of BIAFRANS are gonna be disappointed oo

Do you want SS and SE to vote together in the upcoming referandum? this is a chance to bring a trusted, popular SS so as to win 11-states. The SS man should be penciled to rule Biafra after MNK, then Uche-Mefor will be the 3rd Ruler

I don't know why we're always inclined to think towards negativity.
Have u asked urself if all this is part of the plan to confuse the zoo government?

Personally I know he will end up half way with MaziNnamdiKanu. Anyone with spiritual eyes would know Mazi Uche Mefor would do what he has done. The Biafran train would Keep moving with or without even me.

We need a man like Col. Ojukwu again, not people bombarding our heads with myths, that they fell from the sky, and that day a rainbow was on their head!? What nonsense, are we kids for storytelling and we at once get awed and intetested by it. You volunteered yourself, MNK…
