The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) has urged residents to be conscious of their health and take advantage of the increase in water supply by migrating to available public water supply following repairs and upgrades of water facilities.

A statement released by the communication officer of the corporation, Mrs Nike Fashola, said: “Lagos potable water supply is undoubtedly proven to conform to the World Health Organisation’s (WHO’s) standards, posing zero risks when it is consumed, as against other unknown sources.”

The corporation said as a result of boost in water supply in the state, it expects residents to have an abundant and regular supply of water.

The corporation stated that “Lagosians should expect more than adequate water supply as evidence of improved service delivery in the state.”

The corporation, however, hinted that the pressure of water supply might result in leakages or burst pipes, and when such happens, residents should report to the nearest LWC regional/zonal office across the state or lodge complaints at LWC website.
