Kebbi: 17 corps members to repeat service year

Out of 1008, 2021 Batch B Stream One National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to Kebbi State, 17 will repeat the entire service year while seven had their service extended by some months for various offences.

This was disclosed yesterday during the passing out ceremony, which was held at the state secretariat in Birnin Kebbi.
The State Coordinator, Mustapha Muhammad, said the 17 corps members would repeat their service for breaching the NYSC constitution.

Muhammad, who was represented by the Head of Corps Discipline and Reward, Mr. Umar Musa, congratulated the outgoing corps members. He also lauded them for their diligence, hard work, loyalty and commitment to the development of their various host communities.

Muhammad admonished them not to abandon the skills they acquired during the service year but rather make a livelihood from them.

Also speaking, the Birnin Kebbi Local Government Inspector, Mr. Chenfa Isa, appreciated the corps members for being good ambassadors of the NYSC, urging them to continue to protect the good image of the nation in any endeavor they embark on henceforth.

“You should also continue to maintain the banner of unity and peace,” he added.
