Ebonyi state has recorded 23 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said on Saturday.
The new cases take the state’s total infections to 103, with 8 patients successfully treated and discharged, and no deaths recorded so far.
According to the NCDC Other Eastern states where new cases were found include: Anambra (17), Abia (1), Imo (12).
The novel coronavirus has killed at least 397,179 people worldwide since the outbreak first emerged in China last December, according to a tally from official sources compiled by AFP at 1900 GMT on Saturday.
At least 6,827,260 cases of coronavirus have been registered in 196 countries and territories. Of these, at least 2,963,800 are now considered recovered.
