Biafra, IPOB Latest News

Biafra Latest News – Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has claimed that “Nigerians will troop to Biafraland to learn how to run a democratic government”, Afriupdate reports.

This was revealed in a statement issued on his behalf by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful in Owerri, the Imo state capital recently.

Kanu was reacting to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) questioning why the Secretary to the State Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, should be issuing a press statement on behalf of the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

“It is an abomination in a democracy for a mere political appointee to issue a directive to citizens who cannot hold him accountable through the ballot box. This is Government 101.

“This is how it will be in the future: Nigerians will troop to Biafraland to learn how to run a democratic government and we Biafrans would be glad to teach them for free because they are fellow Africans.”

Furthermore, the self-exiled activist questioned the whereabouts of Prof. Osinbajo to have warranted Mustapha to speak on his behalf.

“The correct question PDP should be asking is where is Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and why is Boss Mustapha doing his job if he’s still alive and well,” Kanu queried.

Afriupdate recalls that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, recently said that his group is not agitating for a Biafra Republic because of Nigeria’s oil, gas and mineral resources.

Biafra Latest News – Mazi Kanu made this known in his Live Facebook chat on Sunday.

Nigeria is the largest oil and gas producer in Africa, and the southeast encompassed most of the petroleum-rich Niger Delta. Although, Kanu at the weekend insists the prospect of the Eastern Region gaining self-sufficiency cannot be totally tied to oil.
