Tanzania’s President Samia arrives in Kenya for a two-day state visit — President Samia Suluhu of Tanzania during her arrival at the JKIA, Kenya on Tuesday for a two-day official visit.

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu arrived in Kenya Tuesday morning for a two-day state visit to Nairobi, her first since she took over the presidency following the death of John Pombe Magufuli in March.

Suluhu arrived wearing a white mask, keeping the tradition of donning one when on foreign trips. She was received at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by the Kenyan Foreign CS Raychelle Omamo and Sports CS Ambassador Amina Mohamed among other leaders.

She will be in the country for two days and is expected to address a joint sitting of the National Assembly and the Senate on Wednesday.

This is the first time a Tanzanian President is making a state visit to Kenya since October 2016.
