Somali PM says government will soon prepare an election plan

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has said that the government will soon prepare an election plan.

In a tweet, Roble thanked President Farmaajo for handing over the responsibility of the elections, noting that the Government will soon implement and come up with its election plans.

Roble further ordered the Army to return to their bases .

“I also urge politicians to refrain from inflammatory and incitement terms . I will invite the Federal Member States (FMS) to the National Consultative Summit to complete 17 Sep agreement between (Federal Government of Somalia) FGS & FMS.

140 lawmakers from the Lower House of parliament on Saturday officially rescinded its previously endorsed law on popular vote, and reinstated indirect polls based on 17th September agreement. Thus annulling a two year term extension for president Farmaajo.
