Nearly 2 million Kenyans receive first COVID-19 vaccine dose

Kenya’s health ministry on Tuesday announced that it has vaccinated a total of 2,773,239 people.

Of these vaccine doses, 1,968,656 are first doses while 804,583 are second doses.

The ministry also announced that a total of 565 people had tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday raising the total number of COVID-19 cases to 235,863.

Data released on Tuesday shows that a total of 223,637 patients had recovered while the number of fatalities rose to 4,726.
