Libyan Health Minister Ali Zanati met Monday with Maltese Ambassador to Libya Charles Saliba to discuss medical cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides discussed such topics as COVID-19 vaccination, medical training, and visit exchanges, the ministry said in a statement.

“The Maltese side confirmed it will spare no efforts in medical cooperation (with Libya) particularly against COVID-19 pandemic,” the ministry said.

Libya, mired in years of insecurity and political instability, has been struggling to provide proper public service, especially in medical care and education.
