Explosions have been reported at an ammunition depot belonging to the Sudanese army in a southern district of the capital Khartoum, according to sources.
Sources said the explosions took place in the al-Shagara district in southern Khartoum.
There were no immediate reports of casualties.
State news agency SUNA confirmed that a fire broke out at a small warehouse in a Sudanese military arms factory and that it has been brought under control.
The factory is located alongside a number of other military facilities in the densely populated district of al-Shagara.
The interior ministry said six ambulances rushed to the factory compound and there were no immediate reports of casualties.
