For his part, Sisi reiterated Egypt’s unwavering position on the issue as well as its current efforts to promote all means to resolve the crisis.

The two leaders agreed to support the ongoing political track, leading to holding the presidential elections scheduled to take place by the end of December.

They also stressed the need for all foreign forces to leave the Libyan territories and to curtail illegal foreign intervention that further fuels the crisis.

Meanwhile, the two leaders exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially the developments in Sudan, the statement added.
