Video: Man Spends 4 Years Building Insane All-Metal TERMINATOR

  • Terminators are scary, fictional, killing machines. But that didn’t stop one hobbyist from building one out of metal.
  • Consisting of over 500 parts, the beast of a machine is every bit as intimidating as one seen on the big screen.
  • Terminators have become a worldwide phenomenon, and a global catchphrase for fear of technology gone wrong.

Video: Man Spends 4 Years Building Insane All-Metal TERMINATORThroughout the Terminator movies, one thing becomes very clear: No one should be building Terminators. Yes, some of them can get turned to the forces of humanity, but on the whole, they’re unstoppable killing machines controlled by Skynet.

But that didn’t stop Jamie Staff from Jaz Creations in Australia from spending four years making a full-scale Terminator T-800 out of sand-forged aluminum by hand.

If that sounds like the kind of DIY project worthy of a multi year undertaking, check out the video below to see exactly how Staff pulled off the incredible build, and get started. (Spoiler: It required over 500 pieces of metal and presumably as many buckets of sweat.)

Terminators have been in the news for surprising reasons these days, and not just because Terminator: Dark Fate is hitting theaters soon. Just this week, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson referenced the fictional robots in a bizarre speech in front of the United Nations, warning of the threat of artificial intelligence. While Terminators and Skynet don’t actually represent the threats of A.I., Johnson’s speech shows their lasting impact on the world.
