Notorious ATM Fraudster Arrested With 1.6m In Katsina

A suspected fraudster, Aliyu Abdullahi has been arrested by the police for defrauding people who cannot operate ATMs while pretending to assist them in Katsina state.

The police recovered over N1.6 million and several ATM cards belonging to different people from the suspect, who hails from Kasuwar-Mata in Funtua Local Government Area of state.

The suspect confessed to committing the crime and admitted to have duped his unsuspecting victims not less than N1.5million using their ATM cards.

The Katsina State Police Command spokesman, Isah Gambo, while parading the alleged fraudster before newsmen at the Police Command on Monday disclosed that “the suspect specializes in exchanging his ATM cards with that of his victim’s in the name of helping them.”

Gambo also said charms, several ATM cards, four cartons of spaghetti, four bottles of juice and over N1.6 million of victims money were recovered from the alleged fraudster.
