The Lagos State Office of Education Quality Assurance (OEQA) has warned private school owners against inviting students to school, violating the directive of the State Government to shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as any school caught flouting this order would be sanctioned.

To ensure compliance, the Office of Education Quality Assurance Monitoring and Investigation team embarked on compliance monitoring exercise across the state simultaneously to ensure that schools adhere to this directive.

According to the Director-General, OEQA, Abiola Seriki-Ayeni, any school caught would be penalised and advised the public to reach them on info@oeqalagos.com or report@oeqalagos.com for further enquiries.

Also, Vice-Chancellor, Edo University Iyamho, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Aluyor has announced the council’s approval to promote three of the institution’s staff to the rank of Professors during a virtual Senate meeting held recently.
