A pastor of the Deeper Life Church idenitified as Mr Ogedengbe has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen at Irese town, Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Afriupdate learnt that the incident happened on Monday evening when the gang invaded the church premises and whisked away the pastor.
Confirming the incident, a member of the Church said the abductors stormed the church in a black Corolla car and picked only the clergyman.
“He was kidnapped inside the church. They came with a black Corolla Sports car. They took only him away,” he said.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the abduction.
According to him, the state command has ordered an investigation into the unfortunate incident.
