Chinese Bubble Tea Shop Launches "Menstrual Cramp” Drinks

Popular bubble tea chain Yan Xi Tang has launched a Relief Tea Series, which features two drinks that are specifically designed to help ease menstrual discomfort. The drinks, the Red Sugar Menstrual Ginger Milk Tea and Red Sugar Menstrual Ginger Infusion, are both served warm and contain ingredients like ginger, red dates, and brown sugar, which are believed to have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties.

The idea for the Redtide Relief Tea Series came from Yan Xi Tang owner Clement Tan’s wife, who was looking for a drink to help with her period cramps. Tan created a drink for her, and it quickly became popular among her colleagues. As a result, Tan decided to add the drinks to the Yan Xi Tang menu.

The Red Sugar Menstrual Ginger Milk Tea is made with Ceylon red tea, while the Red Sugar Menstrual Ginger Infusion is made with ginger water. Both drinks can be customized with the addition of pearls.

Tan says that the best way to get the most out of the Redtide Relief Tea Series is to drink them a few days before your period starts. He says that many of his customers have reported that the drinks have helped to reduce their cramps and make their periods more comfortable.

The Redtide Relief Tea Series has been met with mixed reactions from customers. Some people are happy to have an innovative drink that can help with period cramps, while others are unsure about the idea of a “menstrual” drink.
