A 25-year-old man has died while receiving treatment at Kericho County Referral Hospital in Kenya after being assaulted by his father-in-law.
The deceased identified as Godfin Kipkirui Kirwa reportedly had an altercation with his 62-year-old father-in-law after a heated domestic disagreement with his wife who is the suspect’s daughter.
Kirwa sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to Kericho County hospital where he died while being treated.
A police report read;
“Godfin Kipkirui died while receiving treatment at Kericho County Hospital where he had been rushed after sustaining serious head injuries after being beaten by his father-in-law Kiprotich Keter. Kipkirui had domestic issues with his wife.”
While the body of the deceased was moved to the hospital’s morgue awaiting an autopsy, the suspect was arrested and placed in custody and is expected to be arraigned in court.
