Below are five natural remedies for your dry skin:

Avocado:

Avocado is rich in vitamins, protein, copper, fibre and monounsaturated fats that does the body good. Avocado has a lot of potential benefits. One of the benefits includes skin moisturising. The natural oils in an avocado penetrate the skin which helps soften and hydrate dry skin. Apply it on your body, leave for 10 to 15 minutes, then bathe with lukewarm water and dry your skin. It restores your skin to a more youthful glow.

Coconut Oil:

According to Joshua Zeichner, director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City,  “coconut oil comprised of a unique combination of natural fats, which is useful in treating your skin.” Coconut oil works wonders on dry and itchy skin, it nourishes and smoothes your skin. You can apply it in the morning and during bedtime or anytime.

Almonds: 

Almond consists of vitamin E, magnesium, phosphorus and copper. As a result of emollient, it helps balance the absorption of moisture and water loss. Due to this fact, you can make use of almond oil at night for your dry skin. It also has the ability to improve your complexion and skin tone. Just as Zeichner, these rich nuts are best ingested and also valuable choice of snack.

Milk: 

Apart from consuming milk, it can also be used to nourish your body because it consists of vitamins A, D, biotin, protein, and minerals that are healthy for your skin. The lactic acid in milk helps nourish, moisturise and hydrate your skin. You can apply it in your bathwater. Bathing with milk is an ancient therapy for the skin but bathing with is wastage and not advisable instead create a mask with it.

Method of milk mask:

Add 2 tspns of honey to milk and whisk it.

Apply the mixture as a mask on your face and skin

Let it stay for 15 to 20 minutes

Rinse off with lukewarm water

Try applying milk mask on your skin for a week to see soft, supple and smooth skin.

Oily Fish: 

Oily fish are rich in omega- 3 fatty acids, which helps your skin retain moisture, give it radiance and strengthen your skin barriers. It includes salmon, sardines, tuna among others.
