- Jorge Fernandes admits Bruno Fernandes could be on the move this month.
- United have been linked with a January transfer for the 25-year-old.
- The midfielder’s release clause now stands at £85 million.
Jorge Fernandes is already looking at potential replacements for Man United-linked Bruno Fernandes to sign in January.
Speaking about the midfielder’s future, the Sporting Lisbon manager said: “He’s a huge player. All players like Bruno always have a lot of market. We know that he’ll always be a much talked of player and sought by clubs as big as they say.
“I don’t like to think about that beforehand, but I’m starting to think of alternatives within our team if Bruno doesn’t stay with us. I hope that doesn’t happen. In Portugal, unfortunately, we can’t keep the best players for long. Bruno is the best player in the league.”
United are reportedly looking to bring in at least one new midfielder this month following long-term injuries to both Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay.
According to The Athletic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Mike Phelan flew to Portgual last Sunday to personally watch Fernandes in action in Sporting’s 2-1 defeat against Porto.
