The leadership crisis rocking Anambra State chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) got messier as the National Industrial Court of Nigeria restrained factional chairmen, Chikwelu Adigwe from the union’s leadership.

The National Industrial Court ordered Adigwe and his allies to stay action on matters relating or connected to the administration and leadership of NULGE.

Justice John Targema also restrained Adigwe from conducting NULGE’s local government elections, which would have held on December 1, 2, 3 and 8, 2020 until the determination of the substantive suit filed before the court on November 14, 2019.

The order followed a motion on notice in suit NICN/AKW/44/2019 and dated November 5, 2020, brought filed at the court in Awka, Anambra State by Chukwunonso Okaka, Victor Mary Anuna and Chuddy Orakwue.
