The Brazilian believes that Messi is firm in his intentions to leave.
Only if Barca win the Champions League or La Liga, his stay will be possible, he supposes.

“Messi will have better offers from other clubs [in 2021], and he was already trying to leave the club by the end of last season. I can’t see how Barcelona’s board will convince him to take a step back on that decision,” former Barcelona forward Rivaldo has said to Betfair.

“Only winning the Champions League or La Liga this season, or watching Koeman getting the team playing beautiful football can convince Messi to reconsider his options.

“Unfortunately, I’m afraid this will be his last season with the club,” the Brazilian concluded.

Messi’s current deal expires next summer meaning that he can sign a pre-contract with a new club already in January.
