Rudiger, Mustafi and 3 other defenders on Barca’s ‘low-cost’ list for January 

• Ronald Koeman wants Barcelona to sign a 4th-choice centre-back in January, as per Diario Sport.
• The Dutchman doesn’t count on Samuel Umtiti (and that’s despite our juicy piece about why he actually should do that) and considers extra options if Eric Garcia won’t come.

• Barca consider landing one of Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger, Liverpool’s Joel Matip, Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi, Roma’s Federico Fazio, Fiorentina’s German Pezzella, or Milan’s Matteo Musacchio.
• Mustafi’s, Fazio’s and Musacchio’s current deals expire in July 2021, so they’ll be available for free in January.
• As for Rudiger and Pezzella, they may Barca little in the winter.
• Matip is unlikely to leave Liverpool in January since Virgil van Dijk is sidelined.
