Considering the financial situation at the club, Barca can’t afford even half of what Neymar would cost.

  • Several Barcelona presidential candidates have contacted Neymar to enquire about his plans for next summer, Diario Sport claim.
  • The Brazilian is an attractive target for two reasons: his football and his popularity, which would bring Barca a lot of money from advertising.
  • Neymar’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in 2022 and according to regulation, he can appeal to FIFA to set a price tag on him since he doesn’t have a release clause.
  • Although Diario Sport can be a reliable source at times, we encourage you to take this particular rumour with a pinch of salt.
  • First of all, Barca don’t have the money to afford neither Ney’s salary nor his transfer fee, which is expected to be set at around €180m.
