Teenager Beaten To Death For Stealing Father’s N15, 000

Over the weekend, a sixteen-year-old boy identified as James Undie was allegedly beaten to death for stealing the sum of N15, 000 belonging to his father in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State.

It was reported that the boy’s father handed him over to some people for torture over the allegation that he stole his father’s money and spent it with his friends.

The boy was beaten to death in the process of torturing him to extract his confession.

In reaction, violence broke out and two more lives were lost with several properties worth millions destroyed by youths in the area.

The National Youth Council of Nigeria’s chairman, Maxwell Obo, expressed his dissatisfaction in the way the Undie’s father handled the issue and promised to fish out culprits who were involved in the act.

However, the Cross River State Police Command Spokesman, DSP Irene Ugbo confirmed the arrest of the deceased father and some suspects for interrogation.
