- The Catalans failed to replace Luis Suarez in the summer transfer window.
- Memphis Depay is said to be Ronald Koeman’s first-choice target to fill the void left by the Uruguayan.
- The Barca legend believes his former club don’t need a new striker if Fari and Dembele start to make enough runs in behind.
“Barcelona don’t even need a № 9 in their style of play,” Hristo Stoichkov, who won five La Liga titles and the Champions League with the Catalans in the 1990s, said.
“If only Ansu and Dembele would be instructed to make runs in behind.

Barcelona offloaded Luis Suarez to Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window but have failed to replace the Uruguayan so far. Lyon forward Memphis Depay is said to be Ronald Koeman’s favourite to lead the Catalans’ front three.
Koeman’s fellow Dutchman is out of contract at the end of the season and Lyon could be forced to sell the 26-year-old on the cheap to avoid losing him for free next summer.
