Telling episode shows Leo Messi could not care less about his defensive duties in Dynamo win

Ronald Koeman appears to have criticised Lionel Messi‘s defensive contribution in the 2-1 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Wednesday, saying: “If you press it should be with the whole team“.

One episode from the final minutes of the encounter when the Ukrainian side were desperately seeking for an equalizer shows that the Barcelona manager had every right to question the Argentine’s attitude.

With some 15 seconds of stoppage time remaining, Messi simply strolled and watched the opposition’s midfielder ran with the ball into Barca’s half.
