The immediate past Chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Oyo State, Bayo Titilola-Sodo, yesterday, said that stronger relationship between the labour movement and Governor Seyi Makinde would be sustained following his appointment as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Relations.

The Special Assistant (Print Media) to Governor Makinde, Moses Alao, had on Wednesday announced the appointment of Titilola-Sodo and others.

Speaking with The Guardian in Ibadan, Titilola-Sodo said: “Workers in Oyo State should expect me to be true to my words. I am going to build on what we have achieved together in the past for a better future for all of us. Governor Seyi Makinde has kept faith with labour movement. Now, we are going to build a stronger relationship to move forward.”

Titilola-Sodo, who was the immediate past President of the state’s chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), retired from the Oyo State Civil Service as Permanent Secretary of the Local Government Staff Pensions Board.
