The 21-year-old Lille’s forward Victor Osimhen is on Barcelona radar, according to Le10Sport. Moreover, the same source predicts a heated battle for the wonderkid between Barca and their league rivals Real Madrid.
Osimhen is having a breakthrough season at Lille with 15 goals and five assists in 31 appearances this season. The Nigerian international can play all across the attack, however, he is usually employed upfront.
This is what probably has caught Barca’s attention with the Catalans looking for a striker to replace Luis Suarez next season.
Osimhen is priced at 30 million euros by Transfermarkt even though he only Lille last summer for 12 million euros after spells at Wolfsburg and Charleroi. The striker’s deal with the French side expires in 2024.
While there are other players on Barcelona radar, with Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez considered the favourite to take the Uruguyan’s place next season, Osimhen is quite high on Barca’s transfer list as well.
