  • Juventus lost the Italian Supercup to Lazio.
  • When Cristiano Ronaldo was about to receive his runner-up medal, the spectators were shouting ‘Messi, Messi’ at him.
  • The shouts didn’t go well with the Portuguese as he smirked at the stands and showed them a thumbs-up.

The Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo era is seemingly nearing its end, especially with the Portuguese leaving La Liga. However, this doesn’t mean the fans will stop teasing Juventus’s player.

Juventus have recently lost the 2019 Supercoppa Italiana to Lazio [1-3]. Although Cristiano played for 90 minutes, he was unable to help his team get the gold this time.

However, the most interesting episode for Barca fans came after the game. As CR7 was about to receive his runner-up’s medal, Lazio fans started chanting ‘Messi, Messi’ at the Portugal international. Bitter after the loss (and due to his massive ego), Ronaldo wasn’t too happy with the way Lazio fans teased him. The forward ironically showed the travelling fans thumbs-up.
