A person who was shot Monday at an intersection in south suburban Country Club Hills has been identified as Chicago rapper Tavares Taylor, known as Lil Reese, by hospital officials.

In a report by TMZ, the rapper was shot Monday afternoon about 40 minutes outside of Chicago. Cops were called to the shooting scene where they found a car with fresh blood in the driver’s seat and on the ground adjacent to the driver’s door.

He suffered a single gunshot wound to the neck and is being treated at South Suburban Hospital. The reason for the gunshot has not yet been known.
