Neymar tells Lionel Messi when he will join Barcelona

Neymar has told Lionel Messi that he will try to force a move away from Paris Saint-Germain to Barcelona during the upcoming winter window.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain entered talks over a potential transfer for Neymar in the final days of the summer transfer window, the French club’s sporting director Leonardo confirmed. However, nothing could be agreed upon after the Catalans were unwilling to meet with the demands of their French counterparts.

Neymar has not yet featured for his side in the 2019/20 campaign after Thomas Tuchel and Leonardo said that the player will only be included in the squad after his future has been sorted. With Barca now having pulled out of the race for Neymar, it looks like the player will stay at Paris Saint-Germain at least until the winter.

Lionel Messi was upset and angry that Barcelona did not make an effort to sign Neymar given his quality. The South American duo shared a brilliant chemistry on the pitch and that extended away from it as well. Fox Sports has now claimedthat Lionel Messi has been assured by Neymar that he will try to make a move from Paris during January.

By the winter’s transfer window, Barcelona would be better off in terms of finances than they are right now, plus with a few months lesser on his contract at the Parc des Princes, PSG could let him go for a lower amount than they had asked for during the summer. That said, he can continue to play with his current team and help Barca in the Champions League knockouts.

While Neymar seems set to stay at Paris Saint-Germain now, the French giants have agreed a deal with Barca’s fiercest rivals- Real Madrid. The Ligue 1 giants have managed to land Keylor Navas from the Spanish capital and sent France international Alphonse Areola on a season-long loan the other way.

Do you think Neymar will return to his former home after the January transfer window?
