PSG reject Barca's €190m-worth offer for Neymar

  • It all boils down to the Brazilian’s estimated value.
  • PSG want at least 200 million euros, while Barca offered 190 million.
  • 40 million should have been paid upfront, for the loan, 150 million next summer.
  • According to another source, Barcelona’s offer hasn’t even reached 170 million euros and included a two-year loan.

As it was predicted by all major sources, Paris Saint-Germain have dismissed Barca’s loan offer for Neymar.

ESPN report that the Catalans were ready to pay 190 million euros for the 27-year-old. 40 million euros should have been paid upfront for the loan and 150 million next summer to complete the signing of the Brazilian on a permanent basis.

According to other ESPN source, the offer only reached 170 million euros and included two-year loan with an option to sign Nemar permanently that could be activated after each year.

The Ligue 1 champions would have rejected Barcelona’s bid either way as they try to recoup at least 200 million out of 222 million euros transfer fee, they paid for the Brazilian two years ago. PSG also suspect that the Catalans won’t be able to pay all sum even next summer and will try to divide the payment into several instalments.

According to an earlier report from Diario Sport, Barca value Neymar ‘only’ at 160 million euros considering the Brazilian’s two years at Paris Saint-Germain were hardly successful and ridden with injuries and setbacks. The two clubs continue talking but if the Parisians won’t lower Neymar’s 200 million price tag the transfer negotiations would stall again.

Coutinho loan to Bayern has further complicated the talks as any kind of ‘player plus money deal’ is definitely off the table now.
