  • Arsenal are enjoying a four-point cushion over second-placed Manchester City in the title race
  • However, Manchester City do have a game in hand ahead of their potential title decider against the Gunners
  • Mikel Arteta’s men have dropped points in two of their most recent fixtures as the season ends

Thierry Henry has advised Arsenal on what they have to do to beat Manchester City to this season’s Premier League title.

The two English top flight giants are currently the firm favourites to lift this season’s trophy after an epic title race.

Weeks ago, Arsenal looked on course to conquer the Premier League for the first time in close to two decades, following their incredible run of form under Mikel Arteta.

However, the north Londoners appear to have hit a rough patch, dropping crucial points in two of their most recent fixtures against Liverpool and West Ham United.

On both occasions, report shows, the league leaders squandered a lead early on to settle for a draw.

These recent stalemates have thrown the title race wide open, with only four points now separating the Gunners at the top and City in second place, with a game in hand.

Thierry Henry’s advice to Arsenal

Henry, a three-time Premier League winner with Arsenal, has now advised his former side to get rid of their emotions if they are to beat Man City to the title.

According to the Frenchman, there is every need for the Gunners’ squad to remain calm in their bid to end their long wait for the EPL title.

“Since the start of the season, I’ve been talking about emotions and how you don’t win league titles with emotion. I’m sorry, but you don’t,” Henry told CBS Sport.

The legendary footballer believes that while a cup can be won through emotions, a 38-game season could not.

“You can’t be too emotional and we’ve seen recently Arsenal have been too emotional. There is a difference between passion and emotion. You can feel emotions but don’t become too emotional, that’s the difference. They need to stay calm,” he added.
