On Monday, Women Under-17 Nigeria beat rivals Chile 2-1 to qualify for the upcoming World Cup tournament quarter-finals.

The game itself went pretty well for girls with traffic in the first and final matches within the Nigerian youth team, an excellent game at the beginning of the meeting. As with New Zealand on Friday, the Flamingos created many scoring chances that were not converted.

The Nigeria women’s under-17 football team already managed to score the first goal of the game after 4 minutes. Blessing Emmanuelle dealt well with the defenders of Chile and scored a goal against the opponent. Eight minutes before the match’s end, Miracle Usani ended the game and scored the second goal. The hope was that Chile would be able to recoup after Roverner Tali scored a penalty at the end of the game. But there was almost no time left for another goal that could see a draw in the match with the Chile national soccer team because the game ended with a score of 2-1 in the use of girls with registered.

As was the case with Germany and New Zealand in Nigeria’s first two games, coach Bankole Olovukere and his team continued to celebrate the goal with their signature salute.

At each goal scored, to the delight of the spectators in the two stadiums they played in, they ran to the corner with the team’s staff to salute the coach and his assistants. The celebrations became memorable and so loved by the spectators and fans of the group, and one of the commentators during the game even said, “Yes, yes. Salute to the boss”.
