Ansu Fati explains how exactly he got Barca’s no. 10 jersey

“When Leo [Messi] was leaving, the number 17 was prepared for me, but then the club suggested number 10. The captains accepted it, and it was a great honour for me. When you play for Barca, you have to be prepared for everything,” Ansu Fati has told Canal+.
Fati was named Barcelona’s new no. 10 about a month after Leo Messi’s exit was confirmed.

Since then, the 19-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Catalans, scoring 6 goals and recording one assist.

The youngster is expected to be a regular starter for Blaugrana next season.
