Barcelona have moved up quickly on the league table since Xavi arrived, but it’s due to the shrewd business they did in January.
Barca can do even better in the summer if they sign some superb players being linked to the club.
Here’s what an ideal summer transfer window will look like for Barca.
Defenders
Noussair Mazraori. Barcelona can reinforce their squad depth by signing a quality right-back.
Andreas Christensen. Barcelona need a centre-back. Particularly with the departure of Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet looking imminent.
Alex Grimaldo. Barca still do not have a deputy (heir) to Jordi Alba. Grimaldo has all the qualities to be the player the Blaugrana need.
Cesar Azpilicueta. The experienced defender is also on Barca’s radar. He could be a great addition to the squad.
Midfielders
Franck Kessie. Apparently, Barcelona have made Kessie their first signing of the summer. That would give their midfield a serious facelift next season.
Strikers
Erling Haaland. Barcelona will become a different beast if they can sign Haaland.
Raphinha. If Demebele ends up leaving the club at the end of the season, then Barca will do well to replace him with a quality player like Raphinha.
