“I am disappointed. We deserved to win, it was clear for me. Barcelona were already lucky in the first leg and they were lucky again today,” Espanyol’s coach Vicente Moreno said after the derby.
“If the team was smaller than Barcelona, would they have gotten so much added time? Against Athletic Bilbao, the same minutes were lost, and the referee only added four minutes.”
Too bad Moreno can’t admit that Barca had better scoring chances and were the ones that deserved to win. Espanyol only stood a chance thanks to an individual mistake from Eric Garcia and wasting time for the rest of the game.
